Queenstown

Queenstown is not just for adventure seekers. There’s plenty to do, including a wide range of great cafes and restaurants to explore. Whether you’re craving burgers, one for special occasions, or sweet treats, the town has got you covered. Here are some yummy spots to add to your itinerary:

Fergburger

A Queenstown classic – you’ll notice it straight away as you walk through town as there’s always a line-up. Renowned for its massive juicy burgers – this one’s definitely worth the wait.

Handy tip! Skip the long lines by ordering via phone – you’ll get a number and can check their website to see when your order is ready for pick-up.

Fergbaker

Located just next door to Fergburger, this bakery is great for pastries and baked goods – great for takeaway and to enjoy by the lake.

Vudu Cafe

A great way to start the day – get yourself a cuppa and have a sit outside with views of the late. This spot is perfect for breakfast or brunch.

Botswana Butchery

Another institution here in Queenstown since it opened in 2007, this is the spot if you’re after great grilled meats – from steak to seafood. It’s on the pricier side, but you can expect very good quality. Definitely need to book in advance to secure your spot.

Patagonia Chocolates

Located right by the lake, Patagonia Chocolates has called Queenstown home since 2006. These guys are great chocolatiers, ice cream makers and coffee roasters. From their signature hot chocolate to range of ice-cream, a great spot to enjoy in the cafe or by the lake.

Odd Saint

A hidden gem and all the worth it. This is a great spot for breakfast, casual lunch or brunch. Make a date for mimosas with your besties and pair it with a brunch-inspired menu. We love the Eggs Benny from here!

Yonder

We love Yonder for breakfast or brunch, or for a good round of cocktails. Enjoy some classic breakfast-inspired dishes and few surprises. They also make great range of spritz for that chilled out afternoons or evenings.

The Winery

A great spot to do some wine tasting. Why only taste from 1 brand, when at The Winery you can same from a range of New Zealand wines. Pay for what you taste, and tasting comes in 3 different sizes. Plus if you find something you like, you can also purchase a bottle to take home with you.

White & Wong

When we are craving Asian food, White & Wong hits the spot. Taking inspiration from street foods across China, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, you can expect an eclectic menu that is great for sharing… or to enjoy all on your own.

The Bathhouse

Located right at the entrance to the Queenstown Gardens, this is a great spot right in front of the lake. Perfect for a cup of coffee or a sneaky sunset drink.

Perky’s – Floating Bar

A fun spot to unwind over a few drinks, this bar is located on a boat that’s parked  right at the jetty. Just buy the drinks from Perky’s and it’s BYO food so you can grab takeaway from some favourite spots like Fergburger and enjoy it on-board Perky’s.

Tatsumi Modern Japanese Dining

For a special occasion, Tatsumi offers some great quality Japanese food with a great sake list, that also includes some gems that are brewed here in New Zealand.
